How we handle the data you give us when you ask about availability or contact us.

What data we process

  • The data you enter in the forms: check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, preferred home, name, mobile number (WhatsApp) and message.
  • What you write to us directly on WhatsApp, by phone or email.
  • Technical browsing data logged by the server hosting the site (IP address, date and time, pages requested), used only for operation and security.
  • Your language and cookie preferences, stored only in your browser.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your availability request and sending you the rate: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
  • Managing the booking and meeting legal obligations, such as registering guests with the State Police, tourist tax and tax obligations (GDPR art. 6.1.c).
  • Keeping the site secure: legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f).

Without the data requested in the forms we cannot reply to you. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

WhatsApp and other providers

Requests reach us on WhatsApp and we reply on WhatsApp to the number you gave. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group), which processes data under its own privacy policy. Data may also be processed by the site's hosting provider. Some providers may transfer data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

How long we keep it

Requests that do not become a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking data is kept for as long as the law requires (up to 10 years for tax records).

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (GDPR arts. 15–22), by writing to summerholidayapartments@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
